A "best of" seems to be calling out. My sincere hope is that ya'll haven't blessed us with that yet. I suspect the best is yet to come. You 2 have blessed us for a decade with your incredible gifts -- how about a 10th Anniversary CD? What a party that could be!! i'll bake the cake.

Yeah, but Anna, you still have to choose the songs. And some of us need CD's, not iPods.
Anna
December 15, 2005
I can cram about 20 songs on a 80min blank disc. I think two of those might cover it. :)
Forget the "best of" album -- you should have a special iPod with all of your songs loaded on it. Then you'd only need to decide on the case color.

I was thinking that myself. There's too much good music here

Hey Connie.
A Best Of, eh? What would you want to see on it? And while we're at it, let's hear from all of you. What would you want to see on a WC best of CD?

I am learning to play a guitar just like you. I am going to make my dream come true and play music like you. I have a guitar and I saved the sticker and CD. I remember everything you said to me. I am saving your autograph. And I am playing very good. I play with your music just starting now. Would you like to hear my music? I'll make my first CD when my mom figures out how. Thank you for singing to us tonight and helping me find music. Love, Elijah

Ladies-I ordered and received your UNDERDOG CD this weekend. I've been playing it ever since. You make such beautiful music. When you were here in Denver my sweetie decided to watch football instead of coming to enjoy you. She laughs and laughs at BULLY CIRCUS and I think she regrets just a tiny little bit not coming to the concert.
I was interested to hear that Kiya played bass drum in marching band in high school. This is something that I also did. But the big difference is probly that I was about 4'11" and weighed about 100 lbs. But we'd strap on that drum, I'd watch the band director(I was always on the right side so that I could see him) listen for the drum major's whistles and away we'd go. Most of the time I had no ieda where we were, but since I played the BIG BASS DRUM, everyone marched to my beat!lol.
I have promised myself that I would never ever visit my sister in Phoenix in September again. I may have to change my plans.
You all drive carefully, have fun, play wonderfully, love largely and have a happy thanksgiving. Be safe. Connie

Hi you two,
I'm in the Denver Women's Chorus and I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed singing with and listening to you both. You've done it! Now I'm hopelessly hooked on your music, and am completely impressed with your originality and musicianship. I have one question for Kiya (should've asked you this when you were here). I love playing fingerstyle guitar and wondered how you developed your style and who you possibly used as a guide to practice with.
Thanks, you're both excellent!

For choirs etc...We will have sheet music online soon. Check back or email us directly.

Weave and Spin is beautiful. I love listening to the CD even when I'm not practicing. I especially like Beautiful Soul. I can hardly wait to sing these songs with you. I like the low notes that the Altos get to sing. Thank you so much for sharing your music with us and our Denver audience.

Kiya and Miriam -- I don't know if you got my handwritten note after the NGW week in Nashville, but thanks again for letting me horn in on the Bluebird gig. It really was a blast. Also, if you are still interested in talking to my friend, Jimmy, please let me know or contact him at the numbers in my card. He is getting ready to leave on vacation for a couple of weeks, but he should be available after that.
I will also see you in St. Augustine at the Linser House Party in February. I have organized a rather large group of friends to come with me, so be prepared for a fairly rowdy crowd. I have also ordered all my friends to buy both "Underdog" and "Dishpan Brigade." I love them both. I hope you see an upsurge in sales. Take care in all your travels. Tracy

Yesterday on the long way into town out of the forest, I was playing "Keep Me Simple"...and I suddenly realized that that's exactly where I was at...right there... praying to keep this incredible energy alive and in my life...following that stream of pure spirit. For me you captured that prayer just exactly right in the song and the only thing that could have made that moment better would have been to be on the back of a horse! I want to thank you both for having the courage to share your gifts with the world and with me. Loved your music and energy at SUUSI. Hope to see you this year. Great website.

Hey Mike - The "Wishing Chair" is part of a natural rock formation in Ulster County, Northern Ireland, called the Giant's Causeway. It is miles and miles of basalt columns which hug the coastline and head out into the sea. The Wishing Chair is so called because it kind of looks like a chair; a flat stone in the center with a back around it. Sit in it, make a wish, and your dreams come true! Legend says the Causeway was built by the folklore hero, the giant Finn McCool, so he could use it as stepping stones to get to Scotland and battle the giants there. It is an awesome and inspiringly beautiful place.
You can check out a picture of it here: http://www.ferrum.edu/bpohlad/giant%27scauseway/pages/Giant's%20causeway%20Wishing%20Chair_jpg.htm

I saw you perform at Picasso's in Elizabethtown, KY. Not only did I enjoy watching you perform, I also enjoyed participating as well. I'd love to see you come back to E-town again sometime and perform at Backstage Cafe' (formerly Picasso's). I don't get much opportunity to travel to other cities to see shows because I stay very busy with my band 2x12.
Hope to see you again.

Howdy Kiya and Miriam! I wanted to thank you guys for the awesome week in Nashville. Learning how to better my songwriting techniques couldn't have come from more awesome people. You both are some of the best musicians I've seen, and definately perform way better than many professional bands I've seen in the past, or at least that's my opinion. I hope to see at least one of your shows sometime. Maybe I'll see you guys at NGW again sometime in the future. I'll keep you updated with what's going on with me musically, and once again I thank you for the great week. I've heard your new CD twice already and it's an awesome one. Good luck with your sales on it. Take care!

Thanks so much for your kindness, support and understanding regarding my metastatic breast cancer. The fact that you are willing to wear the bracelets means more to me than I can express. Luanne and I really enjoy working with you and the offer to stay with us here in Evanston (about 10 minutes from Coffee House) is sincere and still stands. My friend asked if I wanted to accompany her to the to the Lucie Blue concert last night in Vancouver (having never heard of Lucie Blue or Wishing Chair). I am so grateful I went. Needless to say I now consider myself a fan. Your powerful harmonizing and raw lyrics, your passion was exceptionally evident. My only complaint was that you did not sing more -- so I bought all your CDs instead :) - Listening to Underdog right now. Come back soon - enjoy the cruise - you gals rock!

I got your new album "Underdog", and absolutely loved it!!! Every song on there was a gem, and that's very rare for any album. I bought your record without even hearing a single song from it first, because I knew as always that it would be a great album. The only other artists I buy albums with hearing a song from it first are Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac. That tells you in how high regard I hold Wishing Chair's music. Keep it up!!!
